Welcome to Highfields Community Church Young Adults Life Group!
Our theme for 2026 is “RiSE” — Renew, Impact, Serve, Empower.
This term, we’re stepping into the “I” — IMPACT.
After His death and resurrection, and before ascending to heaven, Jesus gave His disciples—and all who would follow Him—a powerful mission:
Matthew 28:19–20
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This is the call we carry today.
Term 2 kicks off on April 21st at 6:30PM

We’ll be gathering fortnightly throughout the term.
Our prayer is that this term equips and strengthens you in your walk with Christ. Together, we’ll:
Rediscover the core message of the Gospel
Learn how to share our personal stories with confidence and purpose
Grow in understanding so we can respond when our faith is challenged
Step out in service, making a real impact in our local community as the hands and feet of Jesus

Week 1 – Back to the Basics - What Is the Gospel?

🎯 Skill Focus: Clearly explaining the gospel (God’s story)
This week we’re going back to the basics—what the Gospel actually is and how to explain it simply and clearly. We’ll break down the message of Jesus into a practical framework and practice sharing it in a way anyone can understand. Expect a relaxed, interactive night focused on building confidence and clarity.

🎯 Skill Focus: Structuring and telling your personal testimony
This week is all about your story. We’ll explore why your personal testimony matters and how to share it in a simple, authentic way. You’ll learn an easy structure and have time to workshop your story.
🌮 Taco Tuesday! We’ll be sharing food together—bring along a taco ingredient to contribute and we’ll build it all together on the night.
Week 5 – Making Disciples Part 2: Calm in the Questions
🎯 Skill Focus: Responding to questions, doubts, and objections with grace
What happens when someone disagrees or asks a tough question about your faith? This week we’ll learn how to respond with confidence, grace, and honesty. Through real-life scenarios, you’ll practice staying calm, having meaningful conversations, and pointing people back to Jesus..
Week 7 – Personal Testimony Night - Voices of Impact

🎯 Skill Focus: Courageously sharing your story
This is a powerful night of sharing and celebrating what God has done. Over the past few weeks you have practices and refined your personal testimony. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story in a safe and encouraging space. No pressure, just a chance to step out in courage and be encouraged by others.
Week 9 – Impact in Action: Hands & Feet (A community ministry night)

🎯 Skill Focus: Putting faith into practice
This week we put faith into action. As a group, we’ll step out and serve our local community in practical ways—being the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s all about living what we’ve been learning and making a real impact together.
