Greetings Young Adults! Welcome to Term 4.
This term we’ll explore how the Bible works, how the Church works, and what it really means to live a life that honours God. Along the way we’ll play board games, eat childhood snacks, and test Newton’s First Law of Motion at the end-of-term golf range—yes, objects at rest tend to stay at rest, especially golf balls… until someone hits them. You might discover hidden talents that you didn't know you had, or that someone’s snack collection is terrifying and should never, ever be revealed.
Invite your friends, and bring yourselves too...(don’t just send your friends on ahead because that's bad friendship) and get ready for a term full of questions, surprises, and the kind of randomness you can only find at Young Adults.

How the Bible Works

We’re kicking off the new term with a fun night of lawn bowls—and we’ll also be diving into “How the Bible Works.”
For Christians, the Bible isn’t just another book—it’s the inspired Word of God. But where did it come from? How is it put together? And how can we read it in a way that actually shapes and transforms our lives?
These are big questions, and in this session we’ll unpack them by exploring three essential truths from our Bible Basics series.

How The Church Works
A Most Formal Invitation
Esteemed guests, you are hereby cordially invited to attend the Highfields Community Group Young Adults Program on Tuesday, the 28th of October, 2025 at precisely 7:00PM.
The evening shall consist of two great delights:

A riveting discussion titled “How Does the Church Work?”

A gastronomical journey into your childhood, as we request each guest to bring forth a snack from yesteryear to be shared and enjoyed prior to the commencement of festivities (I.E, please bring a childhood shnack).
Lest we forget, the subject matter is no small affair. The Church is not merely a building nor a weekend engagement, but rather the living body of Christ—chosen and designed by God to accomplish His purposes in the world. From the very beginning, Christ declared He would build His Church, and not even the gates of hell would prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).
Thus, together we shall seek to unpack four noble truths from Scripture regarding the workings of the Church.

Everything a Christian Needs for Godly Living
Hello everyone!
We hope to see you on Tuesday, 25th November 2025 for our Young Adults gathering!
As Christians, we’re called to honour God. Sure, we’ve got a new nature, but some old habits stick around like that one uninvited party guest.
2 Peter 1:3 reminds us that “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.”
Imagine life as a three-legged stool—except the legs are slightly different sizes, one occasionally wiggles, and sometimes someone sneaks a rubber chicken onto it. You still need all three legs to keep from toppling over. At our gathering, we’ll uncover what these three essential “legs” are and how to balance them.

City Golf Club Driving Range
End-of-Term!
To wrap up the term in style, we’re taking our questionable golfing skills to the Toowoomba City Golf Club! Join us at the driving range on Tuesday, 9th December 2025—please arrive at 6:30PM sharp (or fashionably late if you prefer, but the balls won’t wait).
Come prepared to whack, swing, and possibly invent new golf techniques no one has ever seen before. We will probably maybe not put you on YouTube for it.
